VP of Sales - Managed Transportation
Our client is in search of the industries most talented sales professional willing to dedicate their time to closing business opportunities and earning high commissions. The mandate is to find and secure new customers through direct sales activity. This is a true hunter position. Once clients are on-boarded they are handed-off to a team of skilled account managers. Job responsibilities include coaching the lead generation team, participating in initial prospect discussions and qualification, sales consultation & client discovery, sales process management, delivering final proposals and contract negotiation.

Job Type: Full-time/work from home

Responsibilities:
  • Prospect with a "hunter" mentality and generate new sales opportunities through proper discovery, understanding key decision makers and determining the appropriate solution for each potential customer.
  • Meet new business revenue goals by owning the sales pipeline from inception to implementation.
  • Independently qualify and successfully progress leads through a lengthy and often complex sales cycle.
  • Lead and participate in face-to-face meetings/proposals with clients at all levels.
  • Develop tailored solutions focused on delivering value & supporting customer’s business.
  • Partner with internal team to create a solution based on customer needs, including appropriate pricing strategy, solution design.
  • Generate and nurture effective relationships with C-level decision makers.

Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or equivalent work experience
  • Verifiable success in developing and closing sales opportunities
  • Expert level knowledge of Transportation Management Systems technology
  • Experienced “consultative seller” capable of following a detailed discovery process and building customized solutions
  • 5+ years’ experience in Sales and Business Development in the 3PL, Freight Management, or Logistics industry
  • Expert level knowledge of process and operations for the LTL, Full Truckload and International Freight industries

This position offers a competitive base salary.
