Logistics Customer Sales Executive
Our client is seeking an experienced and ambitious Logistics Customer Sales Executive to join their growing team in Charleston, SC. This individual will be responsible for finding and securing new business opportunities in the domestic transportation space. The ideal candidate is driven and strategic with 6+ months of related customer sales experience in a brokerage environment. This role will report directly to the CEO.

Job Type: Full-time/Work from home

Responsibilities:
  • Prospect for and locate new business opportunities, and negotiate competitive pricing to close deals and retain customers.
  • Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Manage existing sales pipeline by assessing and identifying customer pain points, and keeping them apprised of new company offerings and industry trends.
  • Provide customized transportation solutions to satisfy customer needs and drive profitability for the company.
  • Handle day-to-day business operations such as logging pertinent information in the company’s TMS, collaborating with internal departments, and overall ensuring a smooth transportation process from pick-up to delivery.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers and maintain frequent communication via phone, email, and/or face-to-face visits.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to inquiries and requests, professionally navigating client questions and concerns, and escalating to management where appropriate.
  • Meet and exceed assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives.
Experience:
  • 6+ months of related brokerage sales experience.
  • Current knowledge of the logistics industry and domestic transportation trends.
  • Self-sufficient and ambitious individual who is highly motivated to exceed expectations.
  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills - oral, written, and over the phone.
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic and collaborative team player.
