They specialize in solving complex logistics challenges for clients with dynamic supply chains - including retailers, manufacturers of consumer and industrial goods, and distributors & wholesalers.

Logistics Business Development Manager
Our client’s freight brokerage division is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Business Development Manager that will help them generate new sales and grow their customer base.

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through research, analysis, and discovery.
  • Concentration in the strategic growth of top 5000 companies in the world.
  • Build new relationships, maintain, and grow existing relationships with clients.
  • Develop optimal routing and pricing solutions to clients’ transportation needs.
  • Manage customers RPF process and pricing needs of customers.
  • Work with Operations Teams in developing overall growth strategy of customers transportation network needs.
  • Be the first point of contact for the clients and ensure their service expectations are met.
  • Manage the day-to-day clients’ freight movements in collaboration with Operations.
  • Actively participate in sales meetings and reporting on sales goals, forecasting, and wins.
  • Stay informed on industry news and market trends.

Experience:
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Experience in transportation industry an asset, otherwise must be willing to learn a lot very fast
  • Energetic, relentless, and thriving on hunting for opportunities
  • Sales and negotiation talent
  • Excellent communicator with a great phone presence
  • Constructive problem solver
  • Flexible in work hours and adaptable to changing workload
  • Proficient in Outlook; intermediate in Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of SalesForce CRM an asset
