Our client is a supply chain problem solver in the produce industry. Their brokers are produce specialists that specialize in the purchasing and transporting of fresh fruit and vegetables.

Logistics Account Executive (Remote)
Our client is looking for a candidate with a high pace, high volume, go-getter individual who is self-motivated to achieve results and has a clear passion for independently bringing in new business with experience in produce, freight, and transportation brokerage. This role will be working alongside a high-performing team with a strong incentive program and strategic mission to grow the company.

Job Type: Full-time

  • Research prospects on both the produce side of the business, as well as the transportation side, and contact them to generate sales for the company.
  • Grow a book of business, develop weekly load volume with customers, and procure carriers to deliver those loads on time and within expected costs.
  • Manage the process end to end from procuring the load, procuring the truck handling the price negotiations, and ensuring accurate and timely submission of all administrative paperwork.  
  • Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure on-time delivery and support handling any difficulties that could arise.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant industry experience as a sales broker in produce, freight, or transportation.
  • The ideal candidate has strong industry experience brokering produce, dry freight, and transportation carriers.
  • Experience and industry relationships with produce growers or dry goods manufacturers and/or trucking companies.
  • Understands the mechanics and technical aspects of brokering.
  • Strong understanding of contractual rules and regulations in the produce and freight transportation sectors.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent sales skills.
