Logistics Account Executive
Our client is seeking an experienced Logistics Account Executive with a minimum of 2 years of experience, and a proven ability to build a book of business. The ideal candidate will have a service-oriented mindset and be capable of developing and managing accounts, all while embodying the company’s founding values of moral ethics and the pursuit of excellence. In this position, you will be responsible for pursuing new business, managing customer relationships, and overseeing shipments from initiation to completion.

Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Seek new business opportunities by diligently pursuing leads and developing a sales pipeline. Report weekly progress to management and ensure ongoing growth through continuous education and mentorship.
- Account Management: Manage accounts efficiently to ensure customer satisfaction. Perform daily tasks to maintain perpetual business opportunities with closed accounts and ensure the fulfillment of customer service requirements.
- Shipment Oversight: Collaborate with shippers, carriers, and dispatchers to manage scheduled pickups and deliveries. Ensure proper documentation, track shipments, and handle after-hours duties such as weekend freight coverage and fallout recovery.
- Training and Mentorship: Once a baseline of load volume or weekly revenue is generated, brokers may be eligible to train new team members. Provide guidance and maintain a healthy work environment, teaching trainees the intricacies of starting and managing a book of business.
- Continuous Availability: Be available 24/7 to customers to respond to inquiries, emails, or urgent freight requirements. In the event of planned time off, coordinate with management or colleagues to ensure seamless communication with prospects and customers.
- Ethics and Values: Represent the company’s core values by maintaining high moral standards, consistently striving for excellence, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Experience:
- High School Diploma required; College Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of freight brokerage experience with verified references.
- Proven ability to build and maintain a book of business.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, DAT, Truckstop, and other load boards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to be available for after-hours customer service and freight management.
This position offers a competitive base salary.
