Carrier Sales Specialist

Job Type: Full-time/Hybrid

Responsibilities:
  • Source carriers for bids, projects, or specific needs.
  • Analyze key metrics to identify trends and enhance decision-making.
  • Develop and nurture existing carrier relationships.
  • Negotiate rates to secure efficient capacity.
  • Ensure project success through effective management.
  • Track all freight to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate carriers and manage logistics efficiently.
  • Negotiate rates in a cost-effective manner.
  • Stay updated on market trends and rates.
  • Utilize software tools for negotiations and reporting.
  • Communicate effectively with carriers and internal teams.
  • Generate carrier leads through calls and networking.
Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business administration or related field preferred.
  • Proven success in sales and relationship building.
  • Customer service and negotiation expertise.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • DAT, ITS, and other market costing data services.
  • Various web services for carrier management will be utilized in this position.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative with all departments.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail.
