Our client is an asset-backed logistics provider. They arrange semi-truck, rail, small package, freight forwarding, and supply chain solutions. Their customer base ranges from Fortune 100 companies to small businesses and in many industries across North America.

Carrier Sales Representative
As a Carrier Sales Representative, you are a crucial element to our client’s existing customers. The main responsibilities will be to conduct the day-to-day operations of existing customer accounts and align them analytically with the customer to meet their logistics needs. You will also be responsible for solving any problems that come up with the day-to-day transportation of the customer’s freight. Additional responsibilities include reducing costs, improving services provided, focus on increasing efficiencies, adding value, and maximizing profitability.

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and develop account relationships.
  • Identify opportunities to further penetrate accounts by improving their supply chain challenges or offering other logistic solutions.
  • Stay informed about the changes in the industry and customer’s business to identify new opportunities with that information.
  • Conduct and problem solve day-to-day operations.
  • Develop pricing strategies by using internal tools and resources.
  • Manage customer expectations through the creation and utilization of metrics.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of Full Truck Load Experience.
  • 1-2 years of 3PL or Manufacture Experience.
  • Commitment to outstanding customer service.
  • Strong ability to persuade, motivate, and influence others.
  • Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent critical thinking and advanced problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Enthusiastic, persistent, and confident approach.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
