Carrier Sales Coordinator
Seeking experienced, energetic, and established Transportation
Brokerage Carrier Sales Professionals to negotiate with carriers and to schedule truck shipments.

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate with carriers to maximize profitability and improve efficiency by identifying ways to improve cost savings.
  • Schedule/Coordinate truck shipments and addressing any issues that come up during transit.
  • Audit and correct carrier freight invoices and BOL’s as necessary for payment.
  • Dispatch drivers on each load with the responsibility to ensure drivers arrive to pick up without issues.
  • Develop and maintain effective Carrier Program that led to sales growth, quality carrier on boarding process, improve soft pricing and rating knowledge and competencies across assigned geographic areas and freight types.
  • Perform daily sourcing activities including targeting new carriers, negotiating and developing carrier rates and sourcing and selecting the most efficient carriers.
  • Develop and maintain effective Carrier relationships with our client’s Core Carriers to include proper carrier capability profiling (60-80 calls/day minimum).
  • Maintain carrier database by keeping pricing and contact information current.
  • Leverage applications and TMS to maximize productivity in capacity planning, trip processing, operational workflow.
Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year experience in the transportation/logistics industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to stay current and accurately interpret industry trends.
  • A true passion for sales and logistics - must be a self-starter, self-directed and highly motivated.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and data entry systems).
  • Ability to positively influence culture and behavior and work effectively with all levels within the company.
