Brokerage Director of Customer Sales
This role will be responsible for the growth of our client’s SMB sales teams in key markets (Chattanooga, Chicago, Scottsdale). Our client is an organization focused on transforming the $800 billion dollar logistics industry while achieving hypergrowth. You will report to the Head of Marketplace Operations and work cross-functionally with operations, marketing, and enterprise sales. To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be confident in interacting with stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Direct and manage SMB sales teams across multiple offices.
  • Oversee the administration of key Sales and Marketing initiatives related to the continual development of profitable business for the company while overseeing the pricing staff and the analysis of potential business opportunities.
  • Direct, develop and train sales teams to ensure individual and office KPIs are met.
  • Support business development and to drive sales to grow the footprint of the company.
  • Develop and maintain clear perspectives on markets and opportunities in this space.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of strategic and operational objectives.
  • Be a thought leader within the organization and challenge the status quo.
  • Partner with marketing and establish process for SQLs and MQLs.

Experience:
  • Any combination of education or experience equivalent to a four year degree; preferably in Business, Engineering or Logistics.  
  • Minimum of 5 years management experience in Pricing, Sales, Operations, Marketing, or Rating & Contracts.
  • Existing knowledge of transportation and supply chain logistics industry.
  • Computer skills including database management, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Dynamic and CRM.
  • Ability to communicate to a wide variety of management levels ranging from one-on-one meetings to large senior management or customer presentations.  
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, both long term and short-term initiatives, within allocated timelines.
  • Analytical thinking, leadership, interpersonal and short and long-term planning skills.
  • Proficient writing and communication skills.
