Job Title: Permit and Escort Manager
Job Type: Full-time; On-site
Responsibilities:
- Obtain and manage state and local oversize and overweight permits.
- Review routes, permit conditions, travel restrictions, and escort requirements before each move.
- Hire and schedule pilot cars, police escorts, and other required support.
- Verify escort qualifications and maintain a reliable network of providers.
- Coordinate with dispatch, drivers, customers, and permitting agencies to keep shipments moving.
- Resolve permit or escort changes quickly when schedules or routes change.
Experience:
- Proven experience securing heavy haul permits across multiple states.
- Proven experience hiring and coordinating escorts for oversize loads.
- Strong knowledge of route restrictions, permit requirements, and heavy haul operations.
- Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and changing deadlines.
