Our client is the third-party fulfillment business, providing ecommerce brands with comprehensive fulfillment solutions including warehousing, pick and pack, shipping, and customer support. Based in Kansas City, our client operates a 112,000-square-foot fulfillment center with significant capacity for growth and is expanding its third-party customer base across the DTC, ecommerce, and consumer products markets.

 Responsibilities:
  • Build and manage a pipeline of new third-party fulfillment customers through cold outreach, networking, referrals, and strategic prospecting
  • Identify, develop, and close new business with DTC, ecommerce, and consumer product brands
  • Own the sales process from initial prospecting and discovery through pricing, negotiation, contracting, and onboarding
  • Develop relationships with decision-makers and clearly communicate client's fulfillment capabilities and value proposition
  • Partner closely with warehouse and fulfillment operations to ensure a smooth transition from sales to implementation
  • Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for customers and maintain strong relationships throughout the client lifecycle
  • Identify opportunities to expand revenue and utilization of client's fulfillment facility
  • Leverage existing partnerships and referral channels to generate new business opportunities
  • Help build the sales process, strategy, and infrastructure for a growing fulfillment business

Experience:
  • 4–8 years of business development or sales experience within 3PL, fulfillment, ecommerce fulfillment, contract logistics, or a related environment
  • Proven track record of hunting and closing new business and building a self-generated pipeline
  • Experience selling fulfillment, warehousing, or integrated logistics solutions strongly preferred
  • DTC, ecommerce, consumer products, Shopify, WMS, or parcel shipping experience is a plus
  • Strong understanding of fulfillment operations, including warehousing, pick/pack, shipping, and carrier relationships
  • Comfortable with cold calling, prospecting, negotiation, and managing the full sales cycle
  • Entrepreneurial, self-directed, and comfortable building a business from the ground up
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work across sales, operations, and customer teams
