The Position

Job Title: Sr. Procurement Systems Analyst

Job Type: Full-time; On-site

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the Procurement Systems Power User/SME for HIMPACT while maintaining a scaled-down buying desk of approximately 300–1,000 SKUs.
  • Maintain assigned product lines and stay hands-on with the buying process to retain strong procurement expertise.
  • Serve as the primary internal resource for HIMPACT, maximizing system capabilities and identifying opportunities to improve procurement processes and tools.
  • Analyze buyer performance, inventory, service levels, profitability, and other KPIs to identify gaps, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor data integrity and system inputs to ensure buyers have accurate information for effective purchasing decisions.
  • Develop, customize, and maintain reports and metrics that support buyers and procurement leadership.
  • Document, standardize, and continuously improve procurement and system best practices.
  • Plan and facilitate ongoing scheduled and ad hoc training for buyers, including support for new-buyer training and development of training materials.
  • Lead buyer-focused meetings that encourage collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the exchange of ideas and best practices.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Procurement, IT, internal stakeholders, and the HIMPACT software vendor to troubleshoot issues and improve system functionality.
  • Support buyers with replenishment, service levels, allocations, cuts, late trucks, PO issues, and other purchasing challenges.
  • Maintain relationships with established suppliers and address purchasing or service issues as needed.
  • Support leadership initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.


Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, buying, supply chain, or a related field.
  • Strong procurement/buying experience with the ability to independently manage an assigned book of business.
  • Experience in grocery, food distribution, wholesale distribution, CPG, retail, foodservice, or another high-volume, replenishment-driven environment preferred.
  • Experience managing inventory, replenishment, service levels, allocations, cuts, vendor issues, and other purchasing-related challenges.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with procurement, purchasing, inventory, replenishment, or ERP systems; HIMPACT experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience with systems such as E3, AWR, ASR, Manhattan/Sysco, or similar procurement platforms is highly relevant.
  • Strong systems aptitude with the ability and curiosity to become a Power User, SME, or go-to resource for procurement technology.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate reports, KPIs, inventory, service levels, and buyer performance to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Experience creating, customizing, or utilizing reports to support procurement and operational decision-making.
  • Ability to identify system and process gaps and develop practical solutions and continuous improvements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train, influence, and collaborate effectively without direct authority.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Procurement, IT, software vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and naturally curious with a passion for learning and process improvement.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred: Logistics, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, or Accounting.
