Job Title: International Logistics & Export Specialist

 

Job Type: Full-time; On-site

 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments, with a strong focus on international export activity.
  • Prepare and review international shipping documentation, including bills of lading, Shipper's Letters of Instruction (SLI), export declarations, commercial invoices, packing lists, and shipping labels.
  • File Shipper's Export Declarations and ensure export documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Verify country of origin/export, Importer of Record (IOR), and Incoterms information to support compliance with federal regulations.
  • Coordinate shipment tracking, tracing, routing, dispatching, and freight rate quotations.
  • Work with freight forwarders, suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve shipment and documentation issues.
  • Maintain import documentation and export compliance records.
  • Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure international orders are picked, packed, and shipped on schedule.
  • Support domestic LTL and FTL transportation activity.
  • Work with FedEx, UPS, and DHL for small-package shipping, processing, and rate quotations.
  • Support Chamber of Commerce certification processes and applicable Free Trade Agreement requirements.
  • Ensure logistics activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, safety requirements, and ISO standards.
 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of international logistics and import/export experience.
  • Hands-on knowledge of international export/import processes and logistics.
  • Working knowledge and practical understanding of Incoterms.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing international shipping and export documentation.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems or other relevant logistics software.
  • Working knowledge of FedEx, UPS, and DHL shipping, quoting, and processing.
  • Hazmat certification or ability to become ce rtified within a short timeframe.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments, deadlines, and priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
