Job Title: 2nd Shift Warehouse Operations Manager
   
Job Type: Full-time; On-Site

Responsibilities:
  • Directs and coordinates operational activities which meet or exceed safety, quality, and efficiency targets.
  • Communicate proactively with other shifts, teams, and departments—leading clear shift handoffs and keeping stakeholders aligned on priorities, open issues, and performance so work transitions smoothly across the operation.
  • Evaluates, validates, forecasts, and communicates appropriate staffing levels to achieve customer service, productivity, and cost objectives.
  • Develops Supervisory Staff to maximize their effectiveness and promote their success.
  • Conducts performance evaluations and administers disciplinary follow-up as required.
  • Reads, understands, and ensures adherence to all policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Partners with Management Team to develop and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives as needed.
  • Initiates, innovates, and drives continuous improvement across warehouse systems, processes, and policies.
  • Directs and coordinates quality-control and damage-reduction efforts.
  • Monitors and audits operations to ensure services are provided efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintains and oversees the Team Member Productivity Program.
  • Ensures all duties are performed in conformance with applicable safety and security standards.
  • Champions Holman’s core business values and maintains reliable attendance at scheduled shifts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed.

Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment, including team leadership. Working knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles; Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word) and the ability to quickly master warehouse management systems (WMS) and other internal applications.
  • MHE certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Ability to work the required schedule, arrive on time, and work alternative schedules to accommodate the needs of the business.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in a courteous and professional manner, and to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
