Senior Vice President of Sales

The Position
Job Title: Senior Vice President of Sales
Job Type: Full-time; On-site
Responsibilities:

Build, lead, and scale the organization's commercial function.

Develop and execute the overall sales strategy to drive profitable revenue
growth.
●
Recruit, coach, and develop sales leaders while building a high-performing
commercial team.
●
Create scalable sales processes, organizational structure, forecasting, CRM
discipline, and accountability.
●
Lead customer segmentation, commercial pricing strategy, pipeline
management, and revenue forecasting.
●
Partner closely with Operations, Finance, and Executive Leadership to align
commercial strategy with overall business objectives.
●
Assess the current commercial organization and develop a long-term
roadmap to support significant company growth.Experience:
●
15+ years of progressive commercial or sales leadership experience.
●
10+ years leading and developing sales organizations, including experience
managing managers.
●
Proven success building and scaling commercial organizations rather than
inheriting mature teams.
●
Experience implementing CRM systems, establishing forecasting processes,
and creating repeatable sales infrastructure.
●
Strong financial and operational acumen with experience partnering
cross-functionally across Sales, Operations, and Finance.
●
Transportation or logistics industry experience strongly preferred, with
additional consideration given to leaders from bulk transportation, waste,
recycling, industrial services, or asset-based trucking organizations.
●
Experience leading organizations with $100M+ in annual revenue is highly
preferred.
First 30-60-90 Days:

Build relationships with executive leadership and the commercial team.
Evaluate the current sales organization, customer portfolio, sales
processes, pricing practices, and CRM utilization.
Assess existing talent, identify strengths and gaps, and develop a
comprehensive commercial assessment.
Days 31-60 – Design the Future

Develop the future-state commercial organization designed to support
continued company growth.
Create customer segmentation strategy, territory plans, sales processes,
forecasting methodology, CRM standards, and reporting structure.
Present a commercial operating system blueprint, including recruiting
roadmap, customer coverage model, and CRM adoption strategy.Days 61-90 – Begin Execution

Begin implementing the commercial operating plan.
Make recommendations regarding organizational structure, talent
development, succession planning, and future hiring needs.
Launch forecasting cadence, implement CRM processes, and present a
long-term commercial roadmap supporting the company's next stage
of growth.

Compensation Details: This position offers a competitive executive compensation
