Responsibilities:
  • Champion and operationalize the company's "Journey to Zero" safety initiative, driving a culture of zero tolerance for injuries and accidents by embedding safety-first principles into all operational processes, team behaviors, and performance expectations.
  • Actively engage with the Safety department to enforce adherence to safety standards/protocols, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Conduct and direct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and labor requirements (OSHA, DOT, local regulations).
  • Oversee General Managers in their day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring safe, timely order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, and efficient space utilization.
  • Ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Establish and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for receiving, storage, order fulfillment, inventory control, and shipping across multi-client environments.
  • Optimize warehouse space, equipment, and labor to maximize throughput, accuracy, and storage density while controlling cost per unit.
  • Own the P&L for public warehousing operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Develop and manage client pricing, billing accuracy, and storage/handling rate structures to protect margin and ensure profitability.
  • Identify and execute cost-reduction and continuous-improvement initiatives without compromising service quality.
  • Serve as senior operational point of contact for public warehousing clients, building trusted relationships and conducting regular business reviews.
  • Partner with sales and business development to scope, price, and onboard new multi-client accounts, including facility startups and space allocation.
  • Support proposals, RFP responses, and site tours to win and retain public warehousing business.
  • Lead, coach, and develop site managers, supervisors, and warehouse staff, building a high-performance, accountable culture.
  • Set performance expectations, conduct reviews, and oversee workforce planning, staffing levels, and labor productivity.
  • Champion employee engagement, retention, and safety across all public warehouse teams.
  • Ensure full compliance with OSHA, DOT, FDA (where applicable), and other regulatory requirements governing warehousing and material handling.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and quality standards through cycle counts, audits, and root-cause corrective action.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including automation and process optimization.
  • Leverage technology to enhance operational capabilities and streamline workflows.
  • Oversee warehouse management system (WMS) utilization and partner with IT/systems teams to improve workflows, reporting, and client visibility.
  • Maximize benefits of Rebus, High Jump, and any other systems implemented towards maximizing performance, improving efficiencies, and creating a better client experience.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.

Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 12+ years of progressive warehousing or distribution leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a director or senior management role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing public, multi-client, or 3PL warehouse operations strongly preferred.
  • Proven P&L ownership and track record of meeting financial and operational targets.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and WMS platforms.
  • Excellent financial acumen, including budgeting, pricing, and margin management.
  • Effective client-facing communication and relationship management skills.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-development capabilities.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and applicable warehousing safety and compliance regulations.
