Outside Sales Representative

The Position
Job Title: Outside Sales Representative
Job Type: Full Time; Remote
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with fleet operators, transportation companies, municipalities, waste management providers, construction companies, and other commercial trucking customers throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth market.
- Generate new business opportunities for truck repair, maintenance, service, and parts operations.
- Leverage existing industry relationships and establish new customer partnerships to drive revenue growth.
- Conduct regular customer visits to identify service needs and promote Delta Truck Center's capabilities.
- Collaborate with service and parts teams to provide solutions that improve customer uptime and operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing customer accounts and increase service utilization.
- Maintain a strong understanding of truck repair, maintenance, diagnostics, and aftermarket parts offerings.
- Prepare and present proposals, pricing, and service solutions to prospective customers.
- Track sales activity, customer interactions, and business development efforts.
- Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, and customer trends within the assigned territory.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to customers by providing industry knowledge and responsive support.
- Represent Delta Truck Center professionally while building long-term customer relationships and brand awareness.
Experience:
- 3+ years of outside sales experience within the heavy-duty truck, commercial vehicle, diesel repair, or dealership environment.
- Previous employment experience with organizations such as Freightliner, International, Volvo, Mack, Peterbilt, Kenworth, or similar commercial truck dealerships strongly preferred.
- Established book of business and customer relationships within fleet, transportation, municipal, waste, construction, or trucking markets.
- Strong understanding of truck service operations, diesel repair, maintenance programs, and aftermarket parts sales.
- Demonstrated success generating new business and growing customer accounts.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated professional capable of managing a territory independently.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications preferred.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
Location: Dallas-Fort Worth Area
