Branch Manager
   
Job Type: Full-time; On-site

Responsibilities:
  • Report directly to the Senior Vice President.
  • Develop & manage all sales and operations, including market competitiveness, pricing, and channel growth strategies for the branch.
  • Create profitable growth revenue with current accounts, while soliciting new sources of revenue and profit.
  • Develop & grow the inside sales, account management, and carrier sales teams.
  • Hiring & firing responsibilities.
  • Train, coach and mentor employees within a collaborative environment.
  • Establish and manage carrier relations and development activities that support the execution of strategies and action plans to enable the profitable growth of the business unit.
  • Work in coordination with other company resources to develop the strategic and tactical direction for the business unit and establish management processes.
Experience:
  • College Degree preferred
  • 6+ years of prior Freight Brokerage Sales and Operations experience
  • 2+ years of Sales Management experience
  • Understanding of the following modes of transportation: Truckload, LTL, Intermodal & Specialized.
  • Strong Selling Skills
  • Strong Negotiation Ability (Carrier, Customer, Margin Integrity)
  • Ability to develop and execute business plan strategies
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Prior P&L responsibility.
  • Should be considered collaborative & results driven with excellent conflict resolution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
