Job Type: Full-time; On-site
Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Senior Vice President.
- Develop & manage all sales and operations, including market competitiveness, pricing, and channel growth strategies for the branch.
- Create profitable growth revenue with current accounts, while soliciting new sources of revenue and profit.
- Develop & grow the inside sales, account management, and carrier sales teams.
- Hiring & firing responsibilities.
- Train, coach and mentor employees within a collaborative environment.
- Establish and manage carrier relations and development activities that support the execution of strategies and action plans to enable the profitable growth of the business unit.
- Work in coordination with other company resources to develop the strategic and tactical direction for the business unit and establish management processes.
- College Degree preferred
- 6+ years of prior Freight Brokerage Sales and Operations experience
- 2+ years of Sales Management experience
- Understanding of the following modes of transportation: Truckload, LTL, Intermodal & Specialized.
- Strong Selling Skills
- Strong Negotiation Ability (Carrier, Customer, Margin Integrity)
- Ability to develop and execute business plan strategies
- Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
- Prior P&L responsibility.
- Should be considered collaborative & results driven with excellent conflict resolution
- Excellent written and verbal communication
