Job Type: Full-time; Remote

Responsibilities:
  • Role is responsible for driving revenue growth, through the addition of Direct Shipment Customers managing key accounts and overseeing the sales strategy for specialized open-deck (Conestoga) & (Dry Van) Transportation divisions.
  • Design and implement comprehensive sales plans to achieve long-term growth and competitive positioning in the specialized flatbed & Dry Van sector.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain high-value relationships with key shippers in industries such as steel, machinery, high-end construction equipment and general commodities.
  • Train and mentor Customer Service to ensure they possess the technical knowledge of Conestoga benefits (e.g., tarp-free protection, versatile loading) and that they can manage the day-to-day affairs of their assigned accounts.
  • Monitor industry trends, trailer production data, and competitor activities to adjust pricing and service offerings accordingly.
  • Work closely with ownership, dispatch, safety, and operations to ensure sales commitments align with fleet capacity and FMCSA standards.
  • Manage the sales pipeline and provide regular reports to executive leadership on gross revenue, conversion rates, and budget adherence.
Experience:
  • 5+ years of senior sales leadership experience specifically within the flatbed or specialized transportation industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Deep understanding of DOT regulations, Class A commercial operations, and the unique selling points of Conestoga trailers.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and strategic decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Electronic Logging Device (ELD) data to analyze shipment efficiency.
  • Excellent people skills; strong customer service orientation: high energy level.
  • Understands the importance of time management, standard operating procedures and safety.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
