Job Title: Warehouse Manager

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all warehouse and delivery operations, including inbound/outbound activity, inventory control, transportation coordination, and driver management.
  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse employees to ensure safe, efficient, and productive daily operations.
  • Monitor operational performance, productivity, and inventory accuracy metrics to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement warehouse procedures, workflow standards, staffing plans, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, DOT, OSHA, HACCP, safety regulations, and other applicable government requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while leading safety initiatives and managing Safety Committee activities.
  • Identify operational issues, recommend corrective actions, and take immediate steps to resolve productivity, safety, or service concerns.
  • Partner cross-functionally with other departments, operating companies, and corporate teams to improve communication, workflow, and service execution.
  • Manage employee relations through regular team meetings, open communication, coaching, and conflict resolution.
  • Support all aspects of employee management, including hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Develop staffing schedules and coordinate labor resources to meet operational demands, deadlines, and service expectations.
  • Analyze operational practices, processes, and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement and increased efficiency.
  • Prepare and maintain required operational, business, and regulatory documentation and reporting.
  • Monitor employee morale and foster a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on accountability and collaboration.
  • Evaluate employee and contractor performance to ensure work quality, productivity, and compliance with company standards.
  • Successfully manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining high levels of customer service.
  • Interact professionally with employees, leadership, vendors, guests, and visitors while maintaining strong interpersonal relationships across the organization.
  • Perform additional operational and supervisory duties as needed to support business continuity and warehouse performance.

Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional leadership or supply chain education preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of warehouse leadership experience within food service distribution required.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, transportation coordination, and delivery processes.
  • HACCP Certification required, with working knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Experience ensuring compliance with DOT, OSHA, HACCP, and other applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop warehouse teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound operational decisions independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, productivity, and customer service standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to instruct, negotiate, resolve conflicts, and build strong working relationships.
  • Experience managing labor, budgets, material resources, staffing schedules, and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Ability to monitor operational performance metrics and implement process improvements to drive productivity and cost control.
  • Strong troubleshooting and quality control analysis skills with a hands-on approach to operational challenges.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, internet-based systems, and warehouse/database management tools.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including first and second shifts, weekends, and overtime as operational needs require.
  • Comfortable working in both indoor warehouse environments and outdoor conditions with varying temperatures.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work activities effectively.
