Responsibilities:
- Analyze raw material demand signals, inventory positions, lead times, and usage patterns to develop accurate and timely purchasing recommendations
- Convert ERP‑generated MRP outputs into actionable buy recommendations, validating requirements through data analysis, exception management, and planner judgment
- Monitor open purchase orders and inbound deliveries to ensure materials arrive on time to support production schedules: proactively flag and escalate risks to Procurement and Planning
- Regularly assess and maintain raw material inventory targets (safety stock, reorder points, order quantities) to ensure ERP parameters are properly tuned and aligned with demand variability and supply risk
- Partner closely with Procurement to prioritize purchasing actions, resolve material constraints, and align on supplier performance, lead time changes, and risk mitigation strategies
- Monitor finished goods inventory levels for make‑to‑stock items, identifying risks of shortage or excess and making data‑driven recommendations to Production Planning
- Coordinate and execute inter‑facility and external warehouse transfers, including building transfer trucks to reposition finished goods inventory efficiently and support service requirements
- Evaluate inventory health across raw materials and finished goods, identifying aging, excess, or at‑risk inventory and recommending corrective actions
- Develop and run standard and ad hoc reports to support the supply chain team, including detailed analyses of raw material consumption by finished good and customer
- Support new product introductions by working closely with the Production Commercialization team to model raw material requirements and adjust inventory strategies to support pipeline demand
- Serve as a key liaison between MRP, Procurement, Production Planning, and Commercialization to ensure material plans are aligned with changing demand, product mix, and supply conditions
- Identify systemic MRP issues or data gaps (BOMs, lead times, usage rates, routings) and work with cross‑functional partners to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements related to material planning, inventory management, and ERP utilization in a fast‑paced, high‑complexity manufacturing environment
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in an MRP, materials planning, or inventory planning role, preferably in a manufacturing environment with high SKU complexity
- Strong understanding of MRP logic, raw material planning, lead times, safety stock concepts, and purchasing workflows
- Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations
- Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to work comfortably with formulas, pivots, lookups, and data analysis tools
- Experience working within ERP systems and interpreting MRP outputs; ability to identify when system signals need planner intervention
- Highly analytical and detail‑oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and data streams in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong cross‑functional communication skills, particularly when working with Procurement, Production Planning, and Commercialization teams
