Transportation Compliance Officer
Job Type: Full-time; Remote
Responsibilities:
Airport & Municipal Permitting
- Manage all airport and city operating permits, ensuring timely renewals and accurate documentation.
- Maintain strong relationships with airport authorities and compliance offices.
- Track and manage driver and vehicle access credentials, airport badging, and identification requirements.
- Stay informed on local airport and city regulations, communicating updates to leadership and market teams.
- Maintain and renew Certificates of Insurance (COIs) for all company and driver policies.
- Ensure insurance coverage meets airport and municipal minimums for liability and vehicle operations.
- Verify all drivers maintain proper insurance coverage and submit current proof of insurance before operating.
- Work with the company’s broker to ensure coverage is accurate, active, and aligned with each market’s requirements.
- Verify all active drivers have valid driver’s licenses, MVRs, and insurance records.
- Track expirations and ensure renewals are completed prior to lapses.
- Ensure all driver files meet airport and city credentialing standards.
- Coordinate with Market Managers to address compliance issues quickly.
- Maintain compliance records for all company and owner-operator vehicles, including registrations, inspections, and decals.
- Ensure all vehicles meet local and airport operating requirements.
- Coordinate with fleet management to remove or suspend non-compliant vehicles until issues are resolved.
- Maintain an organized compliance database with all permits, insurance, and documentation by market.
- Conduct regular internal compliance reviews to ensure audit readiness.
- Prepare reports and provide updates on compliance status to company leadership.
Experience:
- 3–6 years’ experience in transportation, logistics, or airport operations compliance.
- Knowledge of airport permitting, insurance requirements, and transportation regulations.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, or document tracking systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently.
