Carrier Sales Executive
Job Title: Carrier Sales Representative
Job Type: Full-time; On-site
Responsibilities:
- Carrier Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with carrier’s to ensure consistent and reliable capacity
- Act as the primary point of contact for carrier communication, performance management, and issue resolution
- Monitor and evaluate carrier performance, addressing service gaps and reinforcing expectations
- Carrier Sourcing and Negotiation
- Proactively source and onboard new carriers through cold outreach, industry tools, and market research
- Negotiate competitive rates while balancing service quality and profitability
- Ensure all carriers meet compliance standards, including insurance and safety requirements
- Capacity and Load Management
- Secure capacity for open shipments by matching freight with the most suitable carriers
- Collaborate with internal sales and operations teams to ensure full coverage and on-time performance
- Minimize service failures such as missed pickups, delays, and rollovers
- Shipment Execution and Issue Resolution
- Track shipments and proactively address disruptions, delays, or service issues
- Resolve carrier-related problems quickly and professionally while maintaining strong relationships
- Communicate updates clearly with internal teams and stakeholders
- Market Awareness and Strategy
- Stay informed on market trends, seasonal capacity shifts, and pricing fluctuations
- Use market insights to make strategic buying decisions and improve margins
- Identify opportunities to expand the carrier network and improve efficiency
- Performance and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of carrier activity, rates, and performance metrics
- Track key performance indicators including margin, coverage, and service levels
- Contribute to team revenue goals and carrier growth targets
Experience:
- 1+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or freight brokerage (sales or carrier-facing role preferred)
- Proven ability to negotiate and manage relationships in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills (phone, email, and interpersonal)
- Comfortable with high-volume outreach and prospecting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel preferred)
- Experience with TMS and industry tools (DAT, MacroPoint, Revenova, Sonar, Highway) is a plus

Compensation Details: This position offers a competitive base salary and uncapped commission
