Logistics Account Manager
Job Type: Full-time; On-site
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all customer account management matters.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships grounded in trust and reliability.
- Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profitability and client satisfaction.
- Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions aligned with customer needs and strategic objectives.
- Clearly communicate progress on monthly/quarterly initiatives to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive new business growth through upselling and cross-selling with existing clients; identify improvement opportunities to meet sales quotas.
- Develop and work leads to cultivate new business opportunities.
- Manage customer pipeline data and activity records within the CRM system.
- Forecast and track key account metrics including quarterly sales results and annual forecasts.
- Prepare regular account status reports for internal leadership.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and grow opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Assist with complex client requests and serve as an escalation resource when needed.
Experience:
- Proven experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, or equivalent role.
- Demonstrable ability to communicate, present, and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
- Comprehensive background in logistics including Parcel, LTL, FTL, Freight Forwarding, and related transportation modes.
- Working knowledge of Parcel and Freight contract structures and RFP processes.
- Solid experience with Microsoft Excel and relational database tools.
- CRM experience required (Salesforce or equivalent).
- Proven ability to deliver client-focused solutions that meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple account projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
