VP of National Accounts - Trailer Leasing

Job Type: Full-time; Remote

Responsibilities:
  • Originate new business opportunities with key strategic accounts within the trailer leasing space.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow revenue and market share with national accounts.
  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Develop and implement overall sales strategy for trailing equipment, including preparation of forecasts, KPI reporting for the sales leaders, and senior management, for use in organizational planning, financial forecasting, budget setting and strategic planning.
  • Mentor and assist sales team in closing deals.
  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in prospective and existing major accounts.
  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Develop a fundamental understanding of the company’s service
    offerings, and consult with customers to suggest new, innovative ideas and business solutions that drive value.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers, develop rapport, and maintain consistent communication by email, phone, video calls, and/or face-to-face visits.
  • Coordinate the involvement of company departments and management resources in order to meet account performance objectives and expectations, including working collaboratively across teams - including Finance, Engineering, Product, and Marketing.
  • Meet and exceed assigned targets for profitable sales volume and
    strategic objectives.
  • Lead solution development efforts that best support client’s needs,
    while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
  • Maintain a high degree of professionalism, communication,
    cooperation, and coordination with multiple internal departments.
  • Create and deliver presentations to various groups within the client’s organization as required.
  • Act as technical representative to the customer, provide solutions to
    any issues or pain points they may have.
  • Skillfully navigate client questions and concerns and escalate to
    management where appropriate.
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of company activities, industry trends & government regulations.
  • Attend industry events and tradeshows to network with potential
    clients and promote the company’s brand.

Experience:
  • BA/BS Degree in a relevant discipline.
  • 10+ years of senior sales leadership experience with key accounts in a similar function.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in trailer and / or power leasing and is currently immersed in the trailer/chassis industry.
  • Self-starter with experience in establishing and building strong long-term relationships.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.
  • Exceptional communications skills, both oral and written.
  • Technologically savvy, demonstrating proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and the Internet.
  • Competitive nature and passion for selling and commitment in a high-performing sales organization.
