Our client designs and markets a range of advanced OFDM and (multi) MIMO
based point to point and point to multi point Ethernet radios/RF solutions in both unlicensed and licensed bands. Customers include tier 2 and 3 telephony operators, wireless internet service providers, enterprises such as utilities, and federal, state, and local governments. Their supply chain consists of OEM, ODM and EMS solutions while fulfillment takes place through regional vendor hubs and regional distribution centers via channel partners to the end customer.

Trade Compliance Manager
The primary objective of the Supply Chain Team is to ensure that our client's supply chain is focused on supporting the needs of the business through the timely delivery of high quality and cost-effective products from a competitive supply base while adhering to global trade compliance requirements. Positioning inventory throughout the supply chain while ensuring excess and obsolescence is minimized is a core objective. The primary objective of the Trade Compliance Manager is to support import/export compliance including compliance with export administration regulations (EAR), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and Foreign National laws and regulations in all countries/regions in which our client operates.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor Amber Road global trade screening software.
  • Maintain relationships with 3PL transportation service providers on trade compliance issues.
  • Maintain transportation audit process and ensure trade compliance documentation and/or other related materials are properly in order.
  • Review and perform watch list screening for all transfers of products or technology worldwide.
  • Support export license application completion process using Snap R for the Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) in the US and work with advisors to manage export license activities in other relevant jurisdictions in the EU and APAC and manage applicable licensing activity.
  • Support global Import/export compliance SME, utilizing in country resources where available.
  • Interface with new product development, inventory planning, procurement, manufacturing, logistics and finance teams to determine and/or validate classifications, country of origin, and Harmonized Tariff Classifications for both Import/Export transactions.
  • Familiarity of UK, Netherlands, and European export license regimes
  • Maintain centralized product item master matrix file of HTS, ECCN and COO data, then ensure 3PL transportation/warehouse service providers have latest version.
  • Review/log company internal shipment requests to ensure documents (ie. Commercial Invoices, and letters of instruction) comply with regulatory requirements.
  • BIS semi-annual and annual self-classification ENC reporting requirements
  • AES Account Admin and filing AES for shipments
  • Apply and process Carnets and track activities required
  • Assist with voluntary self-disclosure due diligence activities.
  • Develop and provide targeted training on specific trade compliance topics.
  • Attends the necessary seminars on Export Controls and Compliance in order to stay current with regulations.
  • This role has a dotted line reporting to the Legal Counsel.
  • Other assignments as identified by the Director of Logistics/Transportation, Legal, Order Management, and/or Supply Chain leadership.
Experience:
  • 5+ years’ experience in International Trade compliance.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. and international trade regulations, including EAR, ITAR, CBP, OFAC and other applicable compliance requirements.
  • High degree of integrity, initiative, strong leadership and decision-making skills, ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Outstanding organizational and follow-up skills and must be able to work independently.
  • Ability to learn Cambium’s Products, configurations and technical information needed export license application process.
  • Self-motivated individual and able to work proactively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work effectively with team members.
  • Ability to meet project deadlines, support revenue goals, and quarter-end requirements.
  • Prior experience in Encryption technology export controls is preferred.
  • Prior or active Brokerage license a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications - Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage communications effectively with various cultures and across multiple time zones across the globe.
  • Works effectively with team members and supports department and company goals.
  • Attention to detail with solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at one time, and multi-task.
