Temperature-Controlled Sales Executive
Our client is a network of small reefer vehicles, including sprinter vans, box trucks and straight trucks. They are dedicated to carrying small reefer loads exclusively because these types of loads are often overlooked by transportation companies.Temperature-Controlled Sales Executive
Job Type: Full-time; Remote
Responsibilities:
- Prospect, onboard, and build relationships with enterprise-level food and beverage accounts.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring responsive communication and a positive client experience.
- Partner with executive leadership in sales strategy discussions and business development planning.
- Visit customers and prospects to develop business and strengthen relationships, both at the company's direction and at your discretion.
- Attend industry trade shows, networking events, and conferences as requested.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure a smooth account transition once new clients are onboarded.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales activity, and performance metrics.
- Travel up to 40% of business days may be required.
- Minimum of 10 years of sales experience within logistics, transportation, or a related industry.
- Proven success as a hunter, with a track record of securing new business and meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Strong knowledge of the food and beverage sector, particularly in
refrigerated (reefer) transportation. - Experience with commodities such as meat, dairy, ice cream, cheese, chocolate, produce, and other high-value perishables is preferred.
- Background in truckload (TL) or reefer LTL sales; brokerage reefer experience also considered a strong fit.
- Understanding of enterprise-level client needs and sales cycles.
- Skilled in relationship building, customer communication, and strategic selling.
- Self-motivated and driven to succeed in a competitive, fast-paced
environment.
