Sales Representative

Job Type: Full-time; Remote

Responsibilities:
  • Identify, research, and target potential customers requiring dedicated fleet services, yard management solutions, and freight transportation.
  • Lead contract discussions, negotiate rates, and secure agreements across our client’s service lines, with an emphasis on dedicated contract carriage and yard spotting programs.
  • Drive the growth of the company’s client base by establishing strong relationships with shippers, manufacturers, and retailers in food & beverage, industrial, and consumer goods sectors.
  • Develop consultative sales strategies that highlight the company’s ability to deliver customized dedicated fleet designs and sustainable yard management solutions (including EV and renewable diesel equipment options).
  • Monitor and evaluate marketing effectiveness in driving customer acquisition and retention for both dedicated and transactional freight.
  • Consult with stakeholders, assess operational requirements, and structure solutions that align customer needs with the company’s service capabilities.
  • Create and deliver presentations that showcase the company’s dedicated fleet modeling, yard efficiency strategies, and overall transportation network solutions.
  • Gather actionable market intelligence and competitive data to refine sales strategies for dedicated and yard management services.
  • Stay up to date with trucking industry trends, customer requirements, and regulatory changes that impact dedicated fleet operations and yard safety/compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with operations and dispatch teams to ensure smooth onboarding, driver integration, and ongoing service execution for new dedicated fleets and yard sites.
  • Travel regularly (30–50% expected) to visit customer locations, tour dedicated fleet and yard operations, attend industry events, and build in-person relationships with clients and prospects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience:
  • At least 3-5+ years of prior Logistics & Transportation experience specifically as it pertains to Dedicated OR Flatbed Sales.
  • In-depth knowledge of the local market and competitive landscape to effectively target new customers and enhance sales strategy.
  • Self-driven and results-oriented professional with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven success in a sales environment.
  • Flexibility to quickly adapt to change.
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and excel in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to travel locally and to various markets within their assigned territory.
