Job Type: Full-time; Hybrid
Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the transloading, drayage, and warehousing space.
- Develop relationships with freight forwarders, importers, and logistics decision-makers.
- Conduct in-person and virtual client meetings to pitch services, uncover needs, and provide tailored solutions.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and customer visits to grow brand awareness and strengthen partnerships.
- Collaborate with internal operations and service teams to ensure seamless execution for new accounts.
- Maintain and grow a pipeline of qualified prospects through outreach, referrals, and networking.
- Track sales metrics including gross profit, gross revenue, and conversion timelines.
- Stay current on industry trends to position the company as a strategic partner to clients.
- 3+ years of logistics sales experience with a proven record of new business generation.
- Transloading or warehousing experience preferred; drayage knowledge needed.
- Strong relationship-building skills and a history of client retention and growth.
- Demonstrated stability in career progression - no frequent job changes.
- Confident communicator who takes ownership and thrives in a team-driven environment.
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings and industry events
(approx. 10-20%). - Must live within driving distance of the Carteret, NJ warehouse and work in the office three days per week.
This position offers a competitive base salary + commission.
