On-Site Logistics Coordinator
Job Type: Full-time; On-site
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and dispatch carriers on all managed transportation accounts
- Develop and maintain relationships with dedicated (contracted) carriers and monitor tender acceptance compliance
- Maintain relationships with other brokers to build additional capacity in high volume lanes
- Perform daily operational tasks such as creating and releasing orders and assigning carriers to open shipments
- Proactively communicate issues to internal and external stakeholders and provide real time solutions as needed
- Collaborate with brokerage leadership to source new carrier partners into the network
- Assist with status and tracking updates as requested
- Perform other assigned operational tasks as assigned by brokerage leadership
Experience:
- 1 to 3 years of transportation experience, ideally at a reputable 3PL or brokerage
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills• Ability to problem solve and escalate issues in a timely matter
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Dependable, likeable and team player
- Working knowledge of MS Office suite of products and TMS a plus
