Manager of Environmental, Health & Safety

Job Type: Full-time; On-site

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement company-wide environmental, health, and safety programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including OSHA, EPA, and other federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety requirements
  • Coordinate and conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify risks and hazards, and develop mitigation plans where appropriate.
  • Develop processes related to the management, storage and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Investigate incidents and assist with corresponding incident reporting and corrective actions.
  • Develop reporting to OSHA, other regulatory authorities and internal reports; maintain related records and applicable environmental, health and safety metrics.
  • Providing departments with various safety reports or information as requested.
  • Develop environmental, health, and safety training materials as needed.
  • Research, study, evaluate, and advise on new safety measures and procedures.
Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related subject matter.
  • 5+ years of EHS experience in a dedicated role with similar responsibilities.
  • Industry experience preferred, including logistics management, life sciences logistics, use of powered industrial trucks, and/or warehouse management.
  • Regulatory experience with OSHA, environmental, and occupational safety regulations
  • Relevant professional certifications preferred (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM).
  • Knowledge of various federal, state, and local regulations related to environmental, health, and safety.
  • Experience conducting incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to track and maintain incident reports throughout the Company’s systems and databases.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
