Logistics Sales Account Representative
The Logistics Sales Account Representative is responsible for generating profitable new business and providing best-in-class service to our client’s customer base. They utilize technology, market intelligence, and entrepreneurial drive to grow market share with existing and new business customers. Their success is measured on budgeted growth, service, and customer sales activity metrics.

Responsibilities:
  • Research leads and reach decision makers to service freight opportunities.
  • Generate new business in line with budgeted expectations to fill quotas.
  • Utilize a deep understanding of company service offerings to effectively communicate how they benefit existing and prospective customers.
  • Effectively balance existing business, prospective business, and lead generation.
  • Develop a portfolio of active clients.
  • Participate in bid opportunities, both tactical and strategic (RFP process).
  • Collaborate with carrier operations and Key Account teams to source capacity.
  • Realize monthly sales targets.
  • Utilize CRM to identify or generate leads, actively maintain them, and update records in the CRM.
  • Negotiate rates, develop logistics solutions, and execute freight on behalf of customers.
  • Advise customer base on transportation market intelligence, providing recommendations.
  • Work closely with vendors, carriers, customers, and account managers to ensure the highest level of service and support.

Experience:
  • Associate’s degree (2-year college or technical school) is required. Bachelor's Degree (4-year college or technical school) is preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in Customer Service required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is required.
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word and in writing.
  • Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following company procedures. Customers include internal divisions as well as external customers.
  • Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures.
  • Ability of the individual to act and take steps to resolve an issue.
  • Ability to effectively build relationships with customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to use appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to gain acceptance of a product, service, or idea.
