The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing our client’s
logistics and transportation operations. This role ensures efficient business unit management and customer service while maintaining compliance with industry regulations. The Logistics Manager will work closely with vendors, suppliers, and customers to streamline logistics processes and drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage logistics, business unit, and transportation services.
- Oversee stock levels, shipment processing, and inventory accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards including DOT, OSHA, and FMCSA requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to enhance service levels.
- Develop strategies to optimize delivery routes and transportation costs.
- Monitor key performance metrics to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Lead initiatives for process improvement and operational excellence.
- Resolve service and personnel issues with urgency and professionalism.
- Lead, coach, and train front-line supervisors and team members to uphold the company’s values and safety culture.
- Partner with internal departments (IT, HR, Finance, Carrier Relations) for cross-functional success.
- Perform additional duties and lead special projects as assigned.
Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or Supply Chain preferred.
- 5+ years of logistics or transportation management experience, preferably in first, middle, and/or final mile, or 3PL environments.
- Experience managing independent contractors (ICs) and W-2 drivers is strongly preferred.
- Strong command of logistics software (TMS, route optimization tools, telematics, etc.).
- Demonstrated success in logistics planning, cost control, and service performance.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
