Logistics Account Representative
Job Type: Full-time; Hybrid
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong customer and carrier relationships.
- Be knowledgeable of all current service offerings and be able to communicate them to existing customers.
- Participate in bid opportunities, both tactical and strategic (RFP process).
- Negotiate pricing with both customers and carriers to generate profitable business opportunities.
- Execute all daily freight opportunities for assigned accounts or territories.
- Utilize market intelligence tools to advise clients and meet their daily transportation needs.
- Coordinate, schedule, and execute shipments in Transportation Management System.
- Track and trace shipments to ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
- Proactively communicate and solve service issues to internal and external stakeholders.
Experience:
- Associate’s Degree (2-year college or technical school) is required; Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college or technical school is preferred. Field of Study: Transportation, Logistics, or Business.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in Customer Service, 3PL Sales, Operations, Account Management, or a related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and general computer skills are needed.
