Job Type: Full-time; Onsite
Responsibilities:
- Support business development efforts by identifying and engaging potential customers within the drayage, transloading, and warehousing sectors.
- Build and maintain relationships with freight forwarders, importers, and other logistics partners.
- Conduct outreach efforts (calls, emails, networking) to generate leads and learn the sales process from senior team members.
- Participate in client meetings and assist with presenting services and solutions.
- Collaborate closely with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth onboarding and customer satisfaction.
- Track and report activity, leads, and opportunities to help maintain visibility into the sales pipeline.
- Stay informed on logistics trends and industry updates to better understand client challenges and opportunities.
- 1+ years of experience in the logistics or transportation industry, with strong drayage knowledge required.
- Some exposure to sales, account management, or customer-facing roles preferred.
- Interest in developing a long-term career in logistics sales.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Motivated, dependable, and eager to learn from experienced mentors.
- Must live within driving distance of the Carteret, NJ warehouse and work on-site five days per week.
This position offers a competitive base salary + commission.
