Our client is seeking an individual with management and dispatch experience. They need the right key player to handle this position in their Cleveland terminal. If you have previous dispatch skills, driver recruiting, safety knowledge in the intermodal industry then this position is for you. If you have customer and/or have truck following that is a plus. You must have great communication skills, detailed, strong computer skills, and able to multi-task in a very fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Recruit, onboard, and build relationships with drivers.
- Dispatch drivers and monitor equipment status to ensure pickup and delivery standards and other customer requirements are met.
- Communicate to driver (pick-up and delivery standards), shipper and consignee locations and any special customer requests.
- Monitor driver location status and provide help and assistance as necessary to protect pick-up and deliver standards.
- Prioritize the assignment of equipment to customers.
- Manage the productivity and profitability of the Intermodal fleet by monitoring equipment availability and managing costs.
- Ensure solid understanding of DOT Hours of Service and Compliance matters, providing help and information as necessary to ensure driver stays qualified and available for dispatch.
- Address and resolve problems with shipments in transit in a timely manner.
- Connect with both existing & dormant Customer accounts for additional loads & freight.
- 2+ years of successful Intermodal Dispatching and/or Operations experience (working with Independent Contractors and/or Company-owned trucks).
- Prior Leadership and/or Supervisory experience is a PLUS.
- Well-developed analytical and decision-making skills.
- Prior knowledge of FMCSA Rules & Regulations, Hours of Service, etc.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while also making quick, sound decisions, and taking appropriate risks as necessary.
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
