Our client is a world leading producer of Amorphous Metal Ribbon. Since their company began in the 1970’s, our client pioneered the development and production of amorphous metal, a unique alloy that exhibits a structure in which the metal atoms occur in a random pattern. The key to our client’s proprietary manufacturing process is the rapid solidification of molten alloy at a rate of approximately one million degrees Celsius per second.

Engineering Manager

Job Type: Full-time; On-site

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the engineering department, including product, manufacturing, process, and project engineering teams.
  • Develop and implement engineering strategies that improve manufacturing processes, product quality, and energy efficiency.
  • Oversee process control and electrical engineering activities to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as production, quality assurance, and supply chain to support seamless operations and continuous improvement.
  • Manage engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope.
  • Drive energy management initiatives to optimize resource utilization and reduce environmental impact.
  • Mentor and develop engineering staff, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Analyze engineering data and metrics to identify opportunities for process enhancements and cost savings.
  • Manage and approve/deny capital projects.
  • Contribute productivity improvements & commit the profit based on
    the company’s mid-term plan.
Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field is required. Master’s Degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering roles within durable goods manufacturing, including at least 3 years in a management or leadership position.
  • Proven experience in engineering management, project engineering, and process control.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles and energy management practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and manage complex projects.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with advanced process control systems and automation technologies.
  • Previous experience working in a durable goods manufacturing environment with a focus on sustainability initiatives.
