Dispatcher
Job Type: Full-time; On-site
Responsibilities:
- Communicate haul requests to drivers via offered communication methods.
- Understand driver and vehicle capability to perform the requested load.
- Promptly communicate any delays, issues, or concerns with completing the requested load to customers.
- Answer inbound calls, manage emails and plan loads for available owner operators.
- Must be familiar or willing to train with DOT/FMCSA safety regulations.
- Close orders and process paperwork to assist with billing.
Experience:
- 2+ years of prior dispatching experience needed
- Experience dispatching tractor trailers for container drayage is needed
- Prior knowledge of the transportation industry is a must
- Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills both internally and externally
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
