Job Type: Full-time; Onsite
Responsibilities:
- Capable of diagnosing, repairing, and replacing external engine components.
- Test and repair entire truck/trailer chassis electrical systems.
- Experience and/or training with all facets of trailer repair.
- Effectively and efficiently perform PM inspections and services.
- Able to repair and maintain brake systems.
- Maintain the tire maintenance program.
- Perform service calls.
- Wash and fuel equipment when necessary.
- Perform vehicle road tests to ensure quality repair service is performed, if qualified.
- Perform other maintenance duties or assignments, as necessary.
- Constantly have a positive attitude, interact courteously and professionally with fellow employees and drivers.
- Develop skills to become a leading participant in the care and upkeep of the shop, the grounds, and all equipment and tools.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment that complies with OSHA and company standards.
- Record all work and labor on a computer.
- Work with the shop personnel to ensure that all necessary materials, parts, service supplies, and shop supplies are maintained at proper quantity levels.
- Comply with all shop procedures and rules at all times.
- Continuously improve the company’s processes.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
- Understanding and troubleshooting diesel engine system with ECM diagnostic programs and other troubleshooting techniques is a plus.
- Possessing metalworking/fabrication skills, including MIG welding steel and aluminum, is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen.
