Our client offers a variety of logistics services including transportation of frac sand for the oil and gas industry as well as OTR dry van services, bulk dairy transportation in tankers, and dry bulk ingredients in hopper bottoms. Our client is looking for a Cradle-to-Grave Flatbed Account Executive who can wear multiple hats and drive growth. This role manages the full freight cycle from prospecting new customers to dispatching carriers and ensuring successful delivery. Ideal candidates are entrepreneurial, self-sufficient, and experienced in flatbed freight brokerage.

Responsibilities:
- Identify and secure new shipper relationships with a focus on flatbed freight.
- Build and manage a book of business through cold calling, email outreach, and relationship-building.
- Quote competitive rates, negotiate pricing, and close deals that generate margin.
- Develop relationships with owner-operators and small flatbed fleets.
- Source and book qualified flatbed carriers, considering equipment type, securement requirements, and lane history.
- Ensure all carriers meet safety, insurance, and FMCSA compliance standards.
- Enter loads into TMS and manage each shipment from pickup to delivery.
- Dispatch drivers, communicate load instructions, and follow up proactively.
- Track shipments and solve in-transit issues with urgency and professionalism.
- Act as the main point of contact for your customers, delivering consistent communication and updates.
- Handle service recovery and build trust through reliability and responsiveness.
- Maintain load history and performance metrics to grow customer relationships.
- Coordinate with the billing team for accurate invoicing and documentation.
- Share market insights and rate trends with the team to improve overall performance.
- 5+ years of experience in freight brokerage, with specific experience in flatbed required.
- Demonstrated cradle-to-grave experience: in sales, carrier sourcing, dispatching, and customer management.
- Strong understanding of flatbed equipment types (e.g., step-deck, RGN, Conestoga) and securement.
- Skilled in using TMS platforms and load boards (e.g., DAT, Truckstop).
- Experience with Mcleod.
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working in a small-team environment.
- High level of accountability and entrepreneurial drive.
