Chief Logistics Operations Officer 
Our client is looking for a driven and business-savvy COO to oversee the day-
to-day operations of multiple branch locations including oversight of both the sales & operations teams, as well as all hiring initiatives and P&L responsibilities. The COO should possess related leadership experience and will play a critical role in the refinement, design, and alignment of operational efficiencies and strategic management to facilitate organizational growth. Our client is looking for an innovative problem solver who can ideate and implement ways to
manage the branch locations as their own. This person thrives in the day-to-day functions of the business, as well as creating a “big picture” vision for the company.

Job Type: Full-Time; Onsite

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee approximately 3 direct reports.
  • Manage multiple, independent branch locations as it pertains to their overall sales & operational efficiencies, including hiring, process development & financial management.
  • Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, training and employee development.
  • Streamline, improve & implement various processes that can be adopted branch wide.
  • Oversee resource allocation and operational planning, including headcount forecasting, hiring prioritization, and evaluating new office locations to align with business objectives.
  • Develop and oversee measurable key indicators, business plans and goals.
  • Direct and coordinate activities and goals that are consistent with overall growth objectives and company policies.
  • Participate in the development and preparation of both short-term and long-term plans and budgets based upon broad organization goals and objectives.
  • Foster a positive & productive work environment focused on growth.
  • Reports To: CEO

Experience:

  • Progressive leadership experience, with at least 8-10+ years in a C-level and / or executive leadership role, ideally within transportation, logistics, and / or a related industry.
  • Background in produce, refrigerated logistics and / or temperature-controlled freight strongly preferred.
  • Prior exposure to McLeod and / or similar TMS software is a plus
  • Proven track record of driving operational growth and scalability, including leading organizations through expansion phases.
  • Hands-on experience implementing company-wide process improvements and operational frameworks.
  • Process oriented, with a proven ability to be a change agent capable of implementing
  • change cross-functionally.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to connect high-level vision to daily execution
  • Highly intelligent and analytical, with sound judgment and the ability to make data-driven decisions focused on achieving specific growth objectives.
  • Possess strong verbal, leadership, analytical, listening and written communication skills.
