Business Development Manager
The Business Development Manager will grow and sell our client’s services. This position will be the main point of contact for new and existing customers. The chosen candidate will develop and maintain relationships with their customers. This includes opportunities for both the asset side and brokerage side of the company.

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:
  • Identify opportunities for brokerage and asset services. Develop and grow relationships with customer contacts.
  • Create a sales funnel and actionable steps to close and implement brokerage opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Operations Team to build out a sales strategy to grow the brokerage operation in the assigned region and markets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams - including the carrier teams, customer operations and sales.
  • Grow and evolve market knowledge for quoting customers on all business opportunities.
  • Ensure customers are being serviced at the highest level possible.
  • Responsible for preparation and submission of RFI/RFPs for potential clients.
  • Responsible for maintenance and management of the sales funnel within CRM tool.
  • Responsible for the identification of and communication of potential growth opportunities.
  • Responsible for meeting key growth metrics to include total revenue and margin.

Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous sales in transportation brokerage experience required
  • Expertise in transportation brokerage, planning, and development
  • Strong knowledge of the trucking industry
  • Preferred book of business
  • Strong communicator with the ability to build long-lasting relationships
  • Energetic, relentless, and thriving in hunting for opportunities
  • Strong sales negotiation and closing skills
  • Constructive problem solver
  • Proficient in Outlook; intermediate in Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM is an asset

This position offers a competitive base salary.
