Job Type: Full-time; Onsite
Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the transloading, drayage, and warehousing space.
- Target and develop relationships with freight forwarders, importers, and key logistics decision-makers.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and customer site visits to grow brand awareness and establish trust.
- Conduct face-to-face client meetings to pitch services, uncover needs, and provide tailored logistics solutions.
- Collaborate with internal operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service execution.
- Maintain a consistent pipeline of leads through cold outreach, referrals, and industry networking.
- Track performance metrics including gross profit, gross revenue, and account conversion timelines.
- Stay current on logistics trends and client challenges to better position our client as a strategic partner.
- Minimum 5+ years of sales experience in logistics, preferably in transloading, drayage, or warehousing services.
- Strong emphasis on transloading experience; well-rounded knowledge of drayage and warehousing preferred.
- Proven track record of new business generation and relationship- building.
- Able to reference specific GP/GR metrics and client accounts
successfully landed or developed. - Experience with freight forwarder partnerships and understanding of their business needs.
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings and industry events
(approx. 10-20%). - Self-starter with high integrity, authenticity, and a relationship-first
sales approach. - Must live within driving distance of the warehouse and come in every day.
This position offers a competitive base salary + commission.
