Job Type: Full-time; Onsite
Responsibilities:
- Managing staff to TAI’s TMS workflow, ensuring that you and the Staff complete all daily tasks in a timely manner.
- Manage RMIS, ensure that all carriers are compliant 100% per our client’s processes before assigning loads.
- Carrier development, ensuring the best carriers are onboard with the best pricing/service secured.
- Ensure on-time performance, eliminate roadblocks for the clients, provide quality communication to clients and carriers to set us up to succeed.
- Manage carriers, not allowing carriers to control the team’s outcome.
- Offer solutions that fit the customers’ needs.
- Communicate and use independent judgment to determine driver/carrier capabilities for each load. All loads should be based on client needs.
- Strong problem resolution management & communication with staff
and management.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience dispatching and assigning loads for dry vans, flatbeds, refrigerated, Box trucks and LTL Freight is required.
- Freight monitoring and tracking experience is required.
- Experience with carrier contracts, shipping contracts, sourcing new vendors and carrier selection.
- Maintain carrier profiles in a TMS system, carrier management tools, i.e., RMIS, TAI.
- Strong technology skills with TMS systems, load boards, carriers, and customer databases.
- Knowledge of DOT rules, regulations, and laws.
- Strong routing skills, lane optimization, rating knowledge.
- Strong telephone and computer communication skills.
- Excellent negotiation skills, which are beneficial to both parties and help us secure truck capacity, while making our client a preferred broker to their carriers, while providing the best rates to customers.
- Ability to market and sell services.
- Ensure strong customer service for all clients.
