Accounting Specialist (AP/AR)

Job Type: Full-time; On-site

Responsibilities:
  • Process and record Accounts Receivable transactions such as create invoices, apply customer payments, monitor aging reports, and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Perform Accounts Payable activities such as review and enter vendor invoices, prepare and issue timely payments, and ensure proper general ledger coding.
  • Conduct thorough reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts; identify and resolve discrepancies quickly and accurately.
  • Maintain detailed and organized financial records for all payables and receivables.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to confirm accuracy of financial data and resolve account issues.
  • Prepare journal entries, assist with month-end close, and provide support for audits or compliance needs.
  • Generate accurate and informative financial reports as required.
  • Communicate directly with vendors and clients regarding invoices,
    payments, and account inquiries.

Experience:
  • Hands-on experience performing both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable duties.
  • Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QBO) — must be confident using QBO in daily accounting work.
  • Excellent reconciliation skills with proven accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and best practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and external correspondence.
  • Ability to work independently and remain organized while handling multiple priorities.
