Job Type: Full-time; Onsite
Responsibilities:
- Grow new and existing business utilizing all services available.
- Strong price negotiations to grow sustainable and profitable business relationships.
- Provide customers with the most efficient and safe mode of transportation.
- Increase revenues and improve profitability.
- Ambition to grow our client’s office as part of their established organization.
- Manage the daily TMS processes of receiving, processing orders.
- Customer communication & problem solving to include onboarding new customers & projects.
- Build a solid process plan for ongoing new business.
- Manage, train, provide performance feedback, and assign duties of direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Organizing team roles and evaluating employee performance.
- Documenting operational tasks and reporting to upper-level management.
- Implementing business strategies as needed.
- Performing employee reviews and assessments.
- Assist new employees with onboarding and training program.
Experience:
- Previous team leadership role as a manager for a minimum of 4-6 team members for at least 3 years.
- At least 5 years of experience in transportation/logistics/3PL.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer skills is a must.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret company policies, procedures, and agreements.
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
- Strong conflict management skills, including those involving sensitive and complex matters.
- Book of business is preferred but not required.
This position offers a competitive base salary.
