Logistics National Sales Executive: 
This role will prospect for new opportunities, gain access to C-Level decision makers and develop strong relationships, develop value-added solutions to customer issues, and focus on long-term partnerships. This role will also develop business plans outlining focus within key verticals and may perform CBR’s and act on any growth opportunities and prospect for new business opportunities within key verticals. This position will oversee proposal development and respond to RFPs and RFIs, develop Scope of Work documents, and assist in costing and pricing development. Also, will respond to customer needs and develop a methodical overview and solution for problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute an effective business plan to develop new business and retain existing customers. 
  • Identify/close new major accounts.
  • Work with prospects and existing accounts to identify opportunities and propose solutions.
  • Create national account strategies and utilize company resources to execute strategy.
  • Manage all business-related matters pertaining to contract negotiations, SOPs, KPIs, CBRs for assigned accounts.
  • Develop an expertise in final mile delivery solutions for target verticals.  
  • Develop an understanding of customers’ business and processes and translate information to opportunities.
  • Drive internal process improvements.  
  • Understand and leverage all products and services to create value for customers.
  • Maintain overview of account status utilizing CRM and other productivity reports ensuring visibility and communication with management.
  • Prospect for new customers as directed by Business Development leadership.
  • Participate in solution design, costing and pricing processes. 
  • Investigate and report on local competitive activity and market conditions.  
  • Manage a sales pipeline to meet/exceed goals.
  • Develop account strategies to ensure multiple contacts-3 deep and 3 wide.
  • Help identify acquisition targets.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 5-7 year of experience in business-to-business sales.
  • Experience in selling to major accounts, transportation, logistics, distribution, or outsourcing industries is preferred.
  • Must demonstrate working knowledge of logistics, pricing, and informational technology
  • Possess the ability to use office productivity tools (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite and CRM applications).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.

This position offers a competitive base salary plus commission.
