Driver Recruiter & Safety Manager
Our client is searching for a Driver Recruiter & Safety Manager to join their Logistics department. In this position, you will report to the Staff VP – Domestic Logistics and work closely with the logistics management team. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing key driver programs; including the Smith System Driver training, driver safety, driver recruiting and the student driver training program just to name a few. You will oversee one direct report in this role, a Driver Recruiter.

Responsibilities:
- Provide tactical direction on recruiting tactics and techniques, and resource allocation to assist with recruiter development and improve time to fill.
- Develop, manage and oversee the driver programs: Student Driver Training program, Smith System Driver Training program, Safety Training program, and others driver programs.
- Develop Quarterly driver safety online program along with a weekly safety bulletin for distribution
- Evaluate driver performance, mentor drivers, complete road observations, and conduct accident investigations.
- Support the Company’s operating groups by collaborating on best practices and advising/developing new procedures to ensure operational excellence.
- Handle all HR activities for drivers including on-boarding, off-boarding, training, etc.
- Work closely with Corporate HR on company-wide initiatives impacting the Company’s driver workforce.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, HR or related field
- Minimum of 3+ years of related experience
- Experience working knowledge of all D.O.T regulations
- Certified Smith System Trainer or willingness to become certified
- Knowledge of Smith System, Infinit-I, Tenstreet, Randall Reilly or other safety/HR related software is a plus
- Strong understanding of driver safety programs and accident investigation process
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to communicate
- Ability to create and deliver presentations
