Job Type: Full-time; On-site
Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and secure carriers to move freight in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Ensure that freight is picked up, transported and delivered on time to meet and / or exceed client’s expectations.
- Professionally manage existing accounts.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
- Accountable for overall customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain relationships throughout the customer organization.
- Maintain business by constant contact and follow-up.
- Enter customer orders into the system.
- Communication customer orders to vendors, carriers and partners.
- Track orders and communicate any issues to customers or final consignees.
- Build loads and schedule appointments.
- Maintain and update accurate information in the company’s operating system.
Experience:
- At least 2-3+ years of prior experience working within a 3PL Brokerage environment specifically overseeing customer accounts, handling pricing / quoting, bookings and tracking / tracing functions.
- Prior Flatbed / Over-Dimensional freight experience is a plus.
- Prior experience working in a spot market environment.
- Strong communication & customer services skills.
- Considered an outgoing, friendly and fun high achiever with the ability to maintain positive and productive relationships with customers.
- Bilingual is a plus.
This position offers a competitive base salary + quarterly commission potential.
