Sr. Financial Analyst

  • Location: Moon Township, Pennsylvania
  • Type: Direct Hire
  • Job 8425
  • Salary: $100,000 — $120,000

If you’re someone who prefers understanding how a business actually works—not just reporting on it—this role is built for you.

We’re looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to partner directly with operations leaders across a complex, operational business with multiple fleet and service models. This is a role where the questions are not always defined, the data doesn’t always come clean, and the value comes from figuring out what’s really driving performance.

You’ll be working across multiple operational models, digging into utilization, cost structure, and margin to help inform decisions such as leasing versus purchasing equipment and overall business performance.

What You’ll Do
You will spend your time analyzing and answering real business questions, not producing static reports.

  • Build and analyze fully loaded P&Ls across multiple business lines
  • Evaluate operational drivers such as utilization, margin performance, and cost structure
  • Identify what is driving changes in profitability, including cost pressures and operational efficiency
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Partner directly with operations leaders to provide insight and recommendations
  • Work across multiple data sources and systems to develop a clear financial view of the business

What Makes This Role Different
This is one of the more complex areas within finance, supporting a business with multiple operating models and cost structures.

  • Exposure to operational decision-making, not just corporate reporting
  • Direct partnership with senior operations leadership
  • Work that requires critical thinking and ownership, not just execution
  • An environment investing in AI tools and evolving its data infrastructure

What They’re Looking For
You don’t need to come from the exact industry, but you do need to understand how operational businesses run.

  • Experience in FP&A including budgeting and forecasting
  • Strong financial modeling and P&L analysis skills
  • Solid understanding of the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement
  • Ability to connect financial results to operational drivers
  • Experience in industries such as logistics, transportation, manufacturing, distribution, or utilities
  • Strong Excel skills and general technical capability
  • Ability to work directly with non-finance stakeholders

Helpful but not required:

  • Experience in a private equity-backed environment
  • MBA
  • Experience with tools such as OneStream or similar systems

What Success Looks Like

  • You move beyond the numbers and explain what is driving them
  • You take ownership of questions and work toward answers without needing constant direction
  • You become a trusted partner to operations leaders

Compensation & Location

  • Base salary in the $100K–$120K range + bonus
  • Hybrid schedule (4 days onsite / 1 day remote)
  • Office located near a major airport in the Pittsburgh area

If you’re looking for a role where you can develop real operational finance experience and have visibility into how decisions get made, this is worth a conversation.
